📋 What You Need

  • Windows Operating System

    Compatible with Windows 10/11 with winget support

  • Internet Connection

    Required for downloading dependencies and connecting to chat servers

  • Non-Censored Network

    Ensure your network allows connections to external chat servers

  • If winget fails to install dependencies, you may need to manually install:

💬 Using the Chat Client

  • Step 1: Run the downloaded .bat file or use the curl command

  • Step 2: Wait for automatic installation of dependencies (nmap & python)

  • Step 3: Enter server details when prompted:

    • Server IP: [Your server IP]
    • Port: [Your server port]
    • Username: YourUsername

  • Step 4: Start chatting! Type messages and press Enter to send

  • Your join/leave messages are automatically broadcasted to all users in the chat room. Press Ctrl+C to disconnect safely.

🔧 Troubleshooting

Connection Issues

The client automatically tests connections before joining. If connection fails:

  • Verify the server IP and port are correct
  • Check your internet connection
  • Ensure the chat server is running
  • Check if your firewall is blocking the connection

Installation Problems

If winget installation fails:

  • Update to the latest Windows version
  • Install App Installer from Microsoft Store
  • Or manually download Python and Nmap from the links above

TepeliChats Messenger Client uses ncat (part of the Nmap package) to establish TCP connections to chat servers. The client provides a simple terminal-based interface for real-time messaging.
